Japan Attraction: Lawson
Lawson is an amazing convenience store chain in Japan. Just like how Starbucks locations are open on almost every other block in the U.S., Lawson stores are open throughout Japan. It really makes it convenient while on the go.
Instead of ordering a hot latte, I recommend ordering the matcha latte if it's available. And if you asked me, I enjoyed the matcha latte the most. Unfortunately, not every convenience store offers it. Don't forget to grab an onigiri rice ball or three while you are there. You can easily get an affordable hot meal to go, such as a microwavable bento. You'll never go hungry as there are endless options of snacks and sweets.
Keep a lookout for Lawson 100. If you can find a location with the "100" at the end, make sure you grab something for 100 yen. This 100 store is the sister Lawson chain that offers the exact same convenience store items for about 100 yen (roughly a dollar). The only exception is alcohol, which is more than 100 yen. I would love to see a dollar convenience store like Lawson 100 in the U.S.
