We finally tried Seoul of Taipei for the first time during the 100th year anniversary of San Francisco City Hall! We got the half and half … Taipei fries with pork belly and Seoul fries with short ribs. The fries were out of this world! Super crispy … We are guessing they double fried it. It was amazing! We would ask for more gravy next time.
We are almost always craving Vietnamese rice plates but since we are not in San Jose, we will have to settle for Pho’s Saigon. We used to come here all the time for their rice plates but haven’t been back since they closed down for remodeling The place looks wonderful and clean … Rice plates are great!
Love making homemade wontons! This month, we tried out Nasoya‘s wonton wraps. It’s perfect for making homemade wontons … Our wontons include shrimp, pork and chive … Love this!
Duck fat fries with Sir Kensington’s ketchup, FTW! Loving Cease & Desist in the Mission … They have a weekly burger pop up from Burger SF every Monday from 5 PM – 1 AM (or until sold out). And let me tell you, their burgers are absolutely out of this world … TOO JUICY AND TOO AMAZING!
Still obsessed with Thai Nghiep Ky Mi Gia. I swear, I go almost weekly! Most of us have fond memories of food from our childhood. Whether it was our mom’s homemade noodle soups (bun rieu, pho, wonton, etc.) or memorable dumplings, food has a way of transporting us back to the past. What are your fondest food memories from childhood?
The Habit Burger is one of my favorite spots for a tasty burger. It’s quite inexpensive, juicy and flavorful … The burger comes with fresh vegetables and tons of fresh ingredients! I love their house made ranch, tempura green beans and onion rings … Must get!
Can you guess what kind of po’ boy sandwich we made for dinner? Yes, you guessed it … deep-fried oysters! We ended up picking up some pre-shucked pacific oysters from Costco and had to make this. Mmm!!! Besides having it raw, what do you make with your oysters? Our deep-fried oyster po’ boy sandwich was perfect with the Sir Kensington’s special sauce, KeVita‘s probiotic drinks and Kettle Brand‘s maple bacon potato chips … Mmm!!!
