20th Anniversary Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival 2015 | September 12 & 13

Ghirardelli Chocolate celebrated their 20th anniversary of the Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival this past Saturday, September 12 and Sunday, September 13 from 12 – 5 p.m. at San Francisco’s historic Ghirardelli Square.

Projected to be the biggest Ghirardelli Chocolate Festival to date, this two-day celebration featured the return of the Ghirardelli Chocolate & Wine Pavilion, Ghirardelli Chocolate Earthquake Ice Cream Eating Contests and over 50 sampling vendors.

This festival was filled with chocolate lovers, foodies, festival-goers and more!

We were excited to see unique samples by some of the finest local dessert companies, chef demonstrations from chocolatiers, ice-cream sundae eating contests and of course, Ghirardelli Chocolate!


Ghirardelli Chocolate General Tasting Tickets: With general Chocolate Tasting Tickets, guests indulged in delicacies ranging from chocolate crepes and cupcakes, to Ghirardelli’s World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes. General Tasting Tickets are $20 for 15 tastes when purchased in advance or $25 at the door.

Ghirardelli Chocolate and Wine Pavilion Tasting Tickets: General Chocolate Tasting Tickets and additional 12 tastings in the Wine Pavilion (+ souvenir wine glass). These tickets on Saturday are $50 in advance or $60 at the door. Sunday tickets are $40 in advance and $60 at the door.

Who loves kettle corn?! Gaslamp Popcorn‘s is all natural. What you taste is what is in there (no more, no less!). Delicious! Gaslamp Popcorn gives out two snack size bags for one stamp.

Chococurb (monthly chocolate subscription box) gave out a sample of their chocolate for a stamp. They also gave out free tote bags if you “like” their Facebook page and follow them on Instagram in front of a Chococurb employee.

We tried a delicious cup of DavidsTea‘s mint chocolate rooibos! They also gave a tea bag sample and a free cup of tea voucher. Hot tea on a cold day, happy camper over here!

New Flavor – Kashi gave out organic dark chocolate pomegranate chewy granola & seed bar for free (no stamp needed)!

My favorite was the original Bhakti Chai; it was flavorful, spicy and lightly sweetened.
